Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Rental Compliance Specialist to join our team at Pine Mountain Lake Association. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our governing documents and providing exceptional service to our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our governing documents and apply them to various projects and situations related to short and long-term rentals.
  • Serve as a liaison between Rental Managers, Property Owners, Tenants, and Rental Services, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage and maintain a master list of Registered Rentals, including Property Owners, Tenants, and Property Managers information.
  • Receive and investigate complaints, assist in rule enforcement, and determine the nature of the complaint and investigate for validity.
  • Assist in educating Property Owners on CC&R compliance, with a focus on renting within our Property Management and Land Use Agreement.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and improvement of our comprehensive Rental Management Program.
  • Organize and maintain accurate records and files, and create an effective archive of reference material.
  • Interact with local government entities to obtain information, ensure compliance, and stay up-to-date on code standards.
  • Compose and maintain routine rental correspondence, and maintain accurate records and files for easy retrieval.
  • Interact professionally and competently with Property Owners, Renters, Vendors, Non-Members, Co-Workers, and the Public.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality and privacy on all cases.
  • Utilize computer and office equipment skills, preferably in Microsoft Suite, and have a valid California driver's license and clean MVR.
  • Work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required, and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Requirements
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before Property Owners, Renters, Vendors, Non-Members, Co-Workers, and the Public.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations, and compute ratio and interpret square footage/dimensions.
  • Valid California driver's license required.
  • Close attention to detail, ability to work with specific computer software, possess above-average organizational skills, and communicate effectively with Property Owners, Renters, Non-Members, Co-Workers, and the Public.
