We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Facility Maintenance Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring that all areas of our property are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure that all areas, including entrances, hallways, and recreational spaces, are kept clean and visually appealing.
- Detail-Oriented Cleaning: Perform comprehensive janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and window cleaning, while also replacing burnt-out light bulbs as needed.
- Pool and Spa Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance of pools and water features to keep them free of debris and ensure proper water levels.
- Safety Compliance: Work safely and utilize personal protective equipment, reporting any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor.
- Maintenance Reporting: Log daily activities and report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Director, assisting with repairs and preventative measures.
- Furniture and Equipment Management: Ensure that indoor and outdoor furniture, as well as fitness equipment, are properly arranged and maintained.
- Seasonal Duties: Assist with decorations and preparations for seasonal events and holidays.
Other duties may include:
- Cleaning and emptying ashtrays, transporting waste to disposal areas.
- Maintaining cleanliness in common areas and ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing.
- Inspecting and stocking storage areas and cleaning carts.
- Completing necessary forms and work orders.
- Reporting maintenance needs such as burned-out lights or leaks to the appropriate department.
This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, with a moderate noise level.
Physical RequirementsCandidates must be able to:
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Navigate the property efficiently to fulfill job duties.
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
- A minimum of two years of experience in groundskeeping or janitorial services.
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
