Position Overview:

Under the guidance of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I is tasked with accurately filling and packaging prescriptions for delivery to our clients.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Prepare prescription orders by verifying details and retrieving appropriate medications from inventory.
  • Label medication packaging accurately and organize them into designated bins.
  • Notify the pharmacist of any scanning issues with medications.
  • Engage in training to enhance proficiency in various fulfillment workflows.
  • Communicate inventory requirements to maintain adequate medication supplies.
  • Assist in inventory management, including the removal of expired medications and maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Consistently achieve established accuracy and productivity benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation, ensuring all stock supplies are replenished.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding medication dispensing.
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED (as per state requirements).
  • Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (as per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB).
Skills:
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience (technical knowledge may substitute for experience).
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Quality-focused; motivated to identify and address errors.
