About the Role


The Red Hat Services team is seeking a strategic leader to manage the North America Commercial Training & Certification sector.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and managing the profit and loss (P&L) for Red Hat's expanding educational services.

As the Director, you will design, execute, and oversee initiatives and programs to ensure alignment with our strategic objectives while achieving both financial and operational targets. You will be tasked with driving business growth through various channels while adapting our business model to meet evolving market demands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assume full P&L responsibility for the North America Commercial Training & Certification sector.
  • Develop accurate business forecasts and implement effective strategies to address performance gaps.
  • Lead and manage training sales teams.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at market growth and enhancing the integration of training with Red Hat's product subscriptions and consulting services.
  • Collaborate effectively within a complex organizational structure.
  • Oversee the introduction of new training programs and systems across North America.
  • Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to foster business growth.
  • Coordinate marketing strategies across North America in partnership with marketing teams.
  • Review and support the development of regional training proposals for key accounts.
  • Provide exemplary leadership in a transparent and open environment.
Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing training leadership, ideally within a software or services organization.
  • Proven success in establishing and growing a software or services business.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently increase revenue, acquire new customers, and enhance customer satisfaction with products and services.
  • Experience in executing a go-to-market strategy for services, particularly training, involving both direct customers and a partner ecosystem.
  • Background in business planning, development, and pipeline management.
  • Familiarity with full sales cycle activities, including account planning, opportunity creation, and deal closure.
  • Expertise in recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team; adept at managing within a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Knowledge of open source software solutions and business models is advantageous.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
