Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at Pactiv Evergreen - North America. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal production levels and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain equipment to meet safety, quality, and production goals
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and make adjustments
  • Work on pneumatic and hydraulic systems, gear boxes, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, and pumps
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
  • Perform simple machinist skills and use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Follow Safety and Health policies and procedures
  • Ability to drive material handling equipment or be trained to drive material handling equipment
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or industrial maintenance associates degree with a willingness to grow into the job
  • Must take and pass Ramsey Mechanical Aptitude Test
  • Computer skills and/or ability to be trained on work order system
  • Ability to effectively communicate to aid in trouble shooting
  • Welding experience, a plus
  • Must show initiative and adaptability to work independently and/or as part of a team
  • Must have strong desire to learn, develop, and adapt to new equipment and methods
  • Experience or desire to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift a plus
  • Be willing to work overtime as required to meet company goals
  • Track record of staying with a company a minimum of 2 years
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance

The Evergreen Packaging Raleigh Carton Converting Facility is located in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is also home to North Carolina State University and the state's capitol. Opened in 1953 and employing 120 team members. The facility prints and die cuts refrigerated gable top cartons for a variety of global brands found in retail groceries throughout the US. It also extrudes cupstock and foil board and has received the State of North Carolina Excellence Award for the last 20 years. The facility has also exceeded 8 years without a lost time injury.
