Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team as an Information Systems Security Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments, establishing goals and plans that meet project objectives, and assisting in direction and control activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Security Management: Assist technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments, ensuring that technical requirements are met.
  • Establish Goals and Plans: Establish goals and plans that meet project objectives, ensuring that security management methods and staffing are adequate.
  • Participate in Client Negotiations: Participate in client negotiations and interface with senior management to ensure that security requirements are met.
  • Support Decision Making: Support decision making and domain knowledge that may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
  • Implement Cybersecurity Solutions: Provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement a cybersecurity lab's information security, including designing and implementing security-related solutions.
  • Assist in Risk Analysis: Assist the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions to security requirements, including performing risk analyses and risk assessments.
  • Lead Technology Assignments: Plan and lead major technology assignments, evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
  • TS/SCI Clearance: Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • DHS Suitability: Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • Experience in Information Security Management: 2+ years of directly relevant experience in information security management.
  • Complex Assignment Experience: Experience working on multiple complex assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
  • Computer Network Defense (CND) Policies: Knowledge of CND policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Defense-in-Depth Principles: Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and network security architecture.
  • Boundary Protection: Knowledge of boundary protection and enclaving.
  • Authentication and Access Management: Knowledge of authentication and access management techniques.
  • Security Tools and Techniques: Experience with three or more of the following: understanding of business security practices and procedures, working with current state-of-the-art security tools, implementing security controls for hardware and software, encryption techniques and tools, and application of security practices in a cyber lab environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
Desired Skills
  • Leadership and Mentoring: Experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Xacta and CSAM: Experience with Xacta and CSAM.
  • Splunk, Tenable SC, and End Game: Experience with Splunk, Tenable SC, and End Game.
  • Net App: Experience with Net App.
Education and Certifications

BS in Information Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related degree. Two years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree-level education. Desired certifications include DoD IAT Level III, CISSP, CISM, CASP, and Linux+.
