Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead our Radar Design Department in the development and integration of advanced radar systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, driving Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Risk & Opportunity Management practices, and ensuring predictable financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with the Program Management Office as the Radar IPT representative for the P3I and ESM contracts
  • Manage a cross-functional team including members from Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality through hardware development and production activities
  • Drive robust EVMS and Risk & Opportunity Management practices to ensure predictable Estimate at Complete (EAC) performance
  • Manage scope, budget, and schedule as the Radar IPT Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Coordinate across the Radar product teams to minimize scope growth while achieving contract requirements and milestones
  • Support regular program status reviews to both Engineering Leadership and Program Leadership
  • Lead proposal activities as required to support future capabilities and growth
Requirements
  • Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in hardware design
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience in leadership positions
  • Knowledge of EVMS, Risk and Opportunity Management, and other program management skills
  • Experience presenting challenging programmatic and technical issues to Senior Leadership
  • Experience preparing both technical and cost proposals
  • Ability to travel domestically in support of Program
  • An active and in-scope DoD US security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years in leadership positions
  • Raytheon Technologies process improvement ie CORE/ Six Sigma Certification
  • Strong verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills when working with team members and customers
  • Collaborate in teams or independently, flexible, demonstrates initiative
  • Advanced degree in Engineering discipline
