Job Opportunity

As a Sales Agent for Personal and Commercial Insurance, you will represent a Fortune 500 Brand and have the opportunity to build a legacy for yourself and your family. You will work closely with the Agency Owner to gain an understanding of the Agent Ownership role and be immersed into the Farmer's culture and the insurance industry.

The Austin District Office Team is dedicated to assisting you every step of the way. We offer an award-winning training program and bring over 95 years of experience in developing successful Agencies. You will have the opportunity to work with the Agency owner and the District office to learn the recruiting process and be given the opportunity to work with the Agency owner to gain an understanding of the Agent Ownership role.

Our more than 60 products allow multiple sales to the same household, increasing client retention and commissions. You will have the opportunity to represent our diversified portfolio of Personal Lines Auto & Property Insurance, Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance, and Life & Financial products.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain your Insurance Producer's licenses in Property & Casualty, and Life & Health
  • Spend 8-12 months in the Protg role (time-based upon each individual)
  • The program will have set sales and growth goals to keep you on track for growth
  • Compensated on a base plus commission structure
  • Work closely with the Agency Owner to gain an understanding of the Agent Ownership role
  • We will be providing leads to help generate sales
  • Immersed into the Farmer's culture and the insurance industry
  • Given the opportunity to work with the Agency owner and the District office to learn the recruiting process

Requirements

  • Previous experience in insurance, sales, customer service, or other related fields is preferred but not required
  • Successfully pass a Background Check
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Consultative sales approach
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Possess strong management skills
