Position Title: Lead Communications Systems Engineer

Security Clearance Requirement:
Candidates selected for this role must obtain and sustain a government security clearance, with the capability to secure a Top Secret clearance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute signal processing algorithms tailored for communication systems.
2. Model and simulate various components integral to communication systems.
3. Design waveforms that align with specific application requirements.
4. Conduct laboratory experiments and assess prototypes of communication systems for field deployment.

Essential Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 2 years, or a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in communication systems.
- Strong foundation in communications and RF theory.
- Experience in laboratory testing and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, executing quick-turn experiments and rapid prototyping.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record in waveform design for diverse applications and environments.
- Knowledge of signal processing principles for communications, as well as detection and estimation theory.
- Familiarity with PHY layer topics, including modulation schemes, coding, and channel modeling.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB, along with experience in Python.
- Experience in implementing field-ready prototypes and conducting their testing and validation.
- Background in wireless technologies, including 5G, LTE-M, or mmWave.
- Understanding of low probability of intercept/detection (LPI/LPD) techniques.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning methodologies in communications.
