Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a robust, externally funded research initiative focused on food animal infectious disease mechanisms and prevention, alongside diagnostic test innovation.
  • Facilitate research experiences for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
  • Design and instruct pathology courses within the PPVM curriculum.
  • Deliver timely diagnostic pathology services for both mammalian and avian specimens.
  • Provide expert consultation and support to veterinarians and agricultural producers.
Qualifications:
  • DVM, VMD, or an equivalent veterinary qualification.
  • Advanced degree in veterinary pathology or a closely related discipline.
  • Completion of residency training in anatomic pathology.
  • Eligibility for or certification by ACVP or ECVP.
  • Proven ability to establish a funded research program.
  • Experience in teaching at the collegiate or professional level.
  • Familiarity with food animal production practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
