Veterinary Microbiomics Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant, Associate, or Professor in Veterinary/One Health Microbiomics. The successful candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, genomics, and bioinformatics, with a focus on veterinary and one health applications. The position will involve developing and leading an independent research program, teaching graduate-level courses, and contributing to the department's research and service missions.
Responsibilities:- Develop and lead an independent research program in veterinary/one health microbiomics, with a focus on genomics, bioinformatics, and microbiome analysis.
- Teach graduate-level courses in microbiology, genomics, and bioinformatics, and contribute to the development of new courses and programs.
- Contribute to the department's research and service missions, including collaborations with other faculty members and external partners.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on securing external funding and publishing research results in top-tier journals.
- Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, and contribute to the development of their research skills and knowledge.
- Ph.D. or DVM degree in microbiology, genomics, bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Postdoctoral experience in microbiology, genomics, and bioinformatics, with a focus on veterinary and one health applications.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and external partners.
