Clinical Therapist

Wellnest Emotional Health & Wellness is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team.
Job Summary:The Clinical Therapist will work within our Outpatient Program, providing mental health services to children ages 0-5 and their families/caregivers. This is a full-time position that requires a master's degree or equivalent in a related field, plus clinical experience and/or training directly related to children and child counseling.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides trauma-informed psychotherapy groups, family therapy, and collateral sessions
- Performs intakes & assessments to determine need for services and treatment plan
- Develops, administers, evaluates, and modifies therapeutic or treatment plans
- Facilitates attachment and supports children's early developmental processes with parents or caregivers
- Collaborates with outside child protective or family services workers assigned to children and their families
- Advocates for parents and children when making outside referrals for services
- Ensures timely completion of documentation, including progress notes, using an Electronic Health Record System
- Master's degree or equivalent in a related field (MSW, MA, Ph.D., PsyD, or MS)
- Current registration with licensing board and valid CA driver's license
- Bilingual Spanish speaking ability is highly desired
- Fingerprint clearance through the Department of Justice and current TB clearance
The Clinical Therapist will regularly work out in the field, in a variety of environments. The ability to work independently and with others, including other employees, clients, and members of the public, is essential.
Reasoning Ability:The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, office personnel, other employees, and the general public. They will also be able to read, analyze, and interpret manual and office documents, and define problems, gather, transcribe, and post data, analyze, synthesize, and classify information, and draw valid conclusions.
