Job Overview

The Training Support Specialist plays a vital role in assisting the Army National Guard's (ARNG) Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates operations at the Training Center, including managing facility schedules and serving as a liaison with military units to optimize trainer usage.
  • Handles warehouse operations, including processing transactions, managing incoming shipments, and conducting equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ensures accurate inventory management and accountability of TADSS equipment, including conducting annual inventories and validating equipment condition.
  • Processes requests for training devices, ensuring compliance and proper documentation for equipment issuance.
  • Utilizes various tracking systems and software to maintain records, generate reports, and manage training schedules.
  • Participates in safety meetings and adheres to safety protocols while providing technical assistance to instructors.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas and participates in equipment inspections and safety checks.
  • Prepares instructional materials and assists in the development of training programs to ensure effective soldier training.
  • Delivers technical instruction and evaluates student performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Operates and maintains training devices, ensuring readiness and safety for all training sessions.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Prior military experience preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in training support operations
  • Valid Driver's License is Required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in instructional roles or as part of a training cadre.
  • Understanding of military protocols and chain of command.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with military and civilian personnel.
  • Willingness to work weekends as needed.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of Military Operations and Training Development.
