Position Overview
The role involves delivering specialized training sessions within the designated program, ensuring that the institution adheres to the prevailing standards of accreditation, as well as all relevant federal and state licensing requirements, alongside national, state, and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitates one or more classes that are integral to the AMT curriculum
- Maintains accurate records of student performance and attendance, along with other necessary documentation
- Implements and adheres to daily lesson plans and course study materials, ensuring alignment with the current FAR 147 Certification Manual through collaboration with the Lead Instructor or Department Head
- Follows established protocols as outlined in the FAR 147 Certification Manual
- Adheres to the company's policies and procedures
- Administers and evaluates laboratory projects and theoretical examinations required for the assigned instructional courses
- Oversees the maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Communicates supply and material needs for classes to the Lead Instructor or Department Head
- Ensures student adherence to all established policies and procedures
- Provides additional support for students as needed during regular working hours
- Contributes to student retention efforts
- Maintains attendance records for missed time, facilitating opportunities for students to make up missed hours as necessary
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Proficient in computer usage with the capability to create and edit documents using Microsoft Office Suite
- Adept at reading, analyzing, and interpreting various documents including technical schematics, safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals, and governmental guidelines
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation
- Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups, management, staff, and students
- Competent in mathematical concepts including probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of geometry
- Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios
- Proficient in solving practical problems and navigating a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization
- Able to interpret diverse instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats
Educational Background and Experience
- High School diploma accompanied by eight (8) years of relevant field experience (or)
- Associate degree with four (4) years of pertinent field experience
Certifications and Licenses
- Possession of an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
