Job Summary

Barings' Global Client Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team of financial professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple portfolios, client reporting, and providing support to both internal and external clients.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting and finance fiduciary responsibility over firm's private investments, including fund of funds, co-investments, private equity/real assets, real estate, and private credit.
  • Work effectively with third-party service providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial information.
  • Maintain the general ledger and various sub-ledgers, where applicable, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review trial balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with the quarterly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables to ensure high-quality service.
  • Manage workflow for capital calls and distributions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Implement fund structures on accounting systems to ensure accurate and efficient financial reporting.
  • Work closely with investment teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Produce client reports (month/quarterly cycles) to ensure high-quality service.
  • Produce account-level financial performance metrics to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Interact with senior management, portfolio management team, and investment analysts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal groups to ensure high-quality service.
  • Interact with pricing team on valuations and price analysis to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Ad hoc reports as needed to ensure high-quality service.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting preferred).
  • Experience in fund accounting and preparation of financial statements is preferred.
  • Project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA designation preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word essential, Investran experience is a plus.
