Your Role

We are seeking a seasoned and skilled leader in bridges and structural engineering to elevate their career within our organization. The Bridges and Structures Engineering Lead position provides a platform to leverage your expertise, strategic insight, and leadership abilities to foster a team that successfully executes a variety of impactful transportation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide, mentor, and develop a team of structural engineering experts, ensuring the growth of future leaders through effective training and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with management to formulate and implement business strategies aimed at securing new projects, including cross-selling opportunities and leading initiatives.
  • Enhance our standing with clients, regulatory bodies, and industry peers by delivering exceptional service.
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Define project goals, methodologies, and performance metrics while leading interdisciplinary teams through all phases from proposals to construction.
  • Identify necessary resources and skill sets to meet project objectives, managing contracts, tracking expenses, and implementing strategies to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Exemplify leadership by adhering to internal policies, including risk management and quality assurance.
  • Encourage collaboration and teamwork across various business sectors and locations.
  • Preference for candidates based in Ohio or those with established community connections in the region.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record in managing and delivering successful projects within the transportation sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues at all levels and external stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors.
  • Dynamic team player eager to embrace challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative settings, focusing on client satisfaction across diverse project sectors.

Education and Credentials

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.

Must hold a Professional Engineer license in Ohio or be able to obtain it within a specified timeframe.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is essential.
