Tenure-Line Faculty Position

The Department of Chemistry at Penn State University is seeking outstanding applicants for a tenure-line faculty position. Both junior and senior candidates are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will assume a key role in interdisciplinary research collaborations and will be co-funded through Penn State University's Institutes of Energy and the Environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in a field relevant to the Department of Chemistry and contribute to the development of new knowledge in the field.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in chemistry and related fields.
- Develop and maintain a strong research program that attracts external funding and produces high-quality research outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Department of Chemistry and other departments to advance the research mission of the university.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities, including committee work and mentoring of students and junior faculty.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field.
- Record of research accomplishments in a field relevant to the Department of Chemistry.
- Ability to achieve teaching excellence at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Commitment to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion in the department and university.
