Position Overview

Team Fishel is currently seeking a Gas Fuser/Pipe Fitter with relevant experience for our operations in Rochester, PA. The primary responsibility of the Gas Fuser/Pipe Fitter is to install gas piping systems, utilizing various techniques for both steel and plastic materials. The compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the installation of new gas mains and services using tools for poly pipe fusion, black iron, and HVAC applications.
  • Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and associated equipment according to established specifications through methods such as poly fusion, mechanical joining, threading, and flanges.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on installed systems and pipelines using pressure gauges and other assessment methods.
  • Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading as per requirements.
  • Layout pipe systems, supports, and related equipment in accordance with blueprints.
  • Plan the layout, installation, or repair of pipe systems based on specifications.
  • Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machinery, adhering to specifications and utilizing hand and power tools.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
  • A valid CDL Driver's license is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements, including physical and drug testing.
  • Willingness to travel regionally is necessary.
  • Occasional extended travel may be required, with Per Diem provided for out-of-town assignments.
