Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, altering, and repairing pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids and gases. Additionally, the technician will maintain mechanical equipment by servicing or repairing equipment that operates primarily on the basis of mechanical principles related to pump-operated systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial pumps associated with production machinery or water treatment systems
  • Experience with heating and cooling equipment, mechanical control systems to include sprinkler systems
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery
  • Previous experience ordering new parts or materials as needed for repairs
  • Use blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of equipment
  • Knowledge of commercial building codes
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair roof drainage pipe systems
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, or fixtures using hand or power tools, fittings, couplings, soldering, brazing, or welding equipment
  • Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe using tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines
  • Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes or pipe fittings, using hand or power tools
  • Use Fork truck equipment or scissor lifts for repairs and installations
  • Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment such as filters, gaskets, and lubricants
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Previous work experience on a Maintenance team
  • Proven experience maintaining equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of safety and OSHA requirements in a manufacturing environment
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Welding certifications
  • Vocational training certification in a related field desired
