Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Odom Rehab. As an OT Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing outpatient Occupational Therapy services to our clients, working closely with our team of therapists to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Occupational Therapy services to clients in accordance with state guidelines and established Plans of Care.
  • Collaborate with our team of therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Document patient treatment daily, adhering to established and accepted practice guidelines.
  • Submit accurate and timely charges for Occupational Therapy services provided.
  • Communicate regularly with physicians and medical staff regarding patient status and progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development and updating of Odom Rehab treatment protocols.
  • Meet Continuing Education requirements and maintain professional certifications.

Certifications and Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
  • Recent or previous work experience in a primary health care setting (preferred).
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal and professional accountability and responsibility.
  • Self-directed and performs duties independently.
  • Ability to problem solve and apply critical thinking skills.
  • Must have the proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • For Mandatory Administrative Drivers: Valid Minnesota driver's license, acceptable driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle required.
  • Must maintain personal vehicle auto insurance coverage.
Working Environment and Physical Requirements

Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Driving Requirements

This position has been designated as Mandatory Driving: Administrative.
