Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at 142013 Westminster Village Inc. as a Geriatric Care Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care to residents according to physician's orders and in conformance with recognized nursing procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and assist with administration of specialized therapy including infusion therapy, PICC lines, respiratory, wound care and treatments as prescribed.
  • Admissions and Assessments: Perform admissions including assessments and documentation on all residents, and participate in the care planning process to ensure accurate and up-to-date care plans.
  • Infection Control: Observe and encourage infection control measures in accordance with facility policy as well as the rules and regulations governing infection control practices.
  • Confidentiality: Protect patient confidentiality in all aspects of care and all communication of information, computer communication, telephone communication, and direct communication.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency calls across campus if needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Must be a graduate in good standing of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Current and unencumbered license to practice in the State of Illinois as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification is required.
  • Experience: Working knowledge of healthcare delivery in the Geriatric, Rehabilitation, or Skilled Nursing setting.
