The Facilities Manager at our location will oversee the comprehensive management of the site, ensuring optimal functionality and safety of the premises. This role is essential in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring a secure and satisfying workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of all safety systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and insurance standards.
  • Manage critical facility systems, including electrical and HVAC operations.
  • Document and execute the building's energy management strategy through systematic audits and improvement programs.
  • Maintain and organize facility architectural drawings and plans.
  • Act as the primary contact for utility management, including billing, approvals, and budget forecasting.
  • Collaborate with energy suppliers to identify the most beneficial programs for the organization.
  • Lead energy conservation initiatives by identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and conducting regular audits.
  • Prepare project scope documents and evaluate proposals for facility-related projects and upgrades.
  • Work closely with tenants and stakeholders to address concerns and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Support emergency management and business continuity initiatives.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with facility maintenance vendors.
  • Oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Provide budget forecasts to plan for future operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management within a manufacturing context.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent experience in facility management may be considered.
  • Demonstrated success in managing energy efficiency programs.
  • Strong knowledge of building engineering principles, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices for workplace safety.
  • Experience with facilities management software or similar tools for data collection and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various teams and levels.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed.
