The Facility Manager at Cartamundi will oversee the comprehensive management of our facility, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role is crucial in enhancing workplace safety and employee satisfaction while managing both essential and ancillary facility services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and functionality of all safety systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage critical facility systems, including electrical and HVAC operations.
  • Document and implement the building's energy management strategy through regular audits and program management.
  • Maintain and update facility ACAD drawings for accuracy and organization.
  • Act as the primary contact for utility billing, approvals, and budget forecasting.
  • Collaborate with energy suppliers to identify optimal programs for operational efficiency.
  • Lead the energy conservation initiative by pinpointing areas for improvement and conducting audits to sustain these efforts.
  • Prepare cost estimates and project scopes for facility-related projects, including upgrades and installations.

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with maintenance vendors.
  • Supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Provide financial forecasting to prepare for future operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management within a manufacturing context.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, equivalent experience in facility management may be considered.
  • Demonstrated success in managing energy programs.
  • Familiarity with building engineering principles, including mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe workplace practices.
  • Experience with facilities management software or similar data management tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across various teams and levels.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed.
