About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Imaging Admin department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

Our Imaging Admin RNs are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our imaging services, including MRI, CT, and ultrasound. You will work closely with our radiology team to provide high-quality patient care and ensure that our imaging services meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage imaging services, including scheduling and preparing patients for procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results
  • Develop and implement processes to improve patient flow and reduce wait times
  • Provide exceptional patient care and education, including explaining procedures and results to patients and families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Current Alaska Registered Nurse License
  • 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in an imaging or radiology setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
