Hospital Pharmacy Director

As a Hospital Pharmacy Director at BrightSpring Health Services, you will oversee all functions related to the delivery of pharmacy services. This includes developing, recommending, and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal laws, and regulations from regulatory bodies such as The Joint Commission, EPA, FDA, and DEA. You will also be responsible for completing Pharmacy Operational Reviews with Hospital Administration, ordering pharmaceuticals as needed, and providing training and guidance to personnel to ensure quality of patient care and high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will maintain contact with other department needs, medical staff, and nursing staff to determine needs, resolve problems, improve processes, and promote effective drug therapy. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in Pharmacy, a Master of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm D preferred, and at least three years of experience in the discipline. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of principals related to pharmaceutical preparation and practices are also required. As a licensed Pharmacist listed by the State Board of Pharmacy, you will have a minimum of two years' experience as a pharmacist and one year of management experience.
