Psychiatrist - Assertive Community Treatment Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program at South Brooklyn Health. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses, including medication management, individual and group therapy, and coordination of community resources.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs
- Provide medication management and individual and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with community resources to ensure patients receive comprehensive care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
Requirements:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Attending Psychiatrist
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
- Completed residency training in an accredited program within Psychiatry
- License to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Experience and training in the use of long acting psychotropic medication required
- Experience with Assertive Community Treatment or Mobile Crisis Team preferred
