Job Opportunity: Part-Time Lecturer Pool

California State University, San Luis Obispo invites applications for possible temporary part-time positions available as determined by need for the 2024-25 academic year. The Mechanical Engineering Department seeks qualified candidates to teach fundamental or advanced mechanical engineering courses.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach mechanical engineering courses
  • Develop and implement course materials
  • Assess student learning
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching
  • Ability to collaboratively work in multidisciplinary settings
  • Proficiency in written and oral use of the English language
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field
  • Teaching and/or industrial experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment
