Job Summary:

The Head Men's Wrestling Coach and Faculty Member will be responsible for leading the men's wrestling program, recruiting and retaining student-athletes, and teaching courses in the Physical Education, Sport & Wellness (PESW) Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership: Direct, supervise, and evaluate all aspects of the men's wrestling program, including recruiting, retaining, and graduating student-athletes.
  • Teaching and Mentorship: Teach courses in the PESW Department and mentor student-athletes in their academic and personal development.
  • Community Engagement: Coordinate team community service and develop relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the program.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement match strategies, daily training schedules, and recruiting plans to achieve program goals.
  • Communication and Marketing: Create and disseminate marketing materials, coordinate recruit visits, and execute a social media strategy to promote the program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years' experience in collegiate coaching and/or wrestling.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a head coach or director of a collegiate wrestling program.
  • Experience teaching courses in a physical education or sport-related field.
