Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Baggage Handling Specialist to join our team at Amtrak. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for handling baggage, express, and company materials, as well as operating electrical and battery-powered equipment and elevators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle and process baggage, express, and company materials in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate electrical and battery-powered equipment and elevators safely and effectively.
  • Assist passengers with the movement of parcels and luggage within the station.
  • Be knowledgeable of all aspects of receiving, delivering, and forwarding of passengers' baggage.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to passenger inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or baggage handling role preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
