Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Long Island Community Hospital. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and reassess patients to develop and implement effective care plans
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide treatments as needed
- Document patient information and care plans in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner educational program approved by the State of New York
- Current NP certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Bachelor's and Master's degrees
- Current New York State license as a registered nurse and NP
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification
- Current National Institute of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) training certification
- Current New York State prescription privilege and DEA number
- Current New York State Infection Control training certification
- Completed Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) online training
- Current certification by the American Vascular Association (AVA)
- Current membership in the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the Nurse Practitioner Association of New York State (NPA)
