General Information:
Hitachi Energy is in search of a Power Transformer Service Specialist for its Nashville, TN location.

This position entails possessing comprehensive expertise to execute the installation, maintenance, and servicing of power transformers. Technicians are expected to have the technical acumen to conduct standard electrical evaluations.

The role necessitates working at client locations and involves significant travel.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising and collaborating with teams ranging from 2 to over 8 technicians to accomplish designated projects.

Projects may encompass, but are not limited to, the installation, repair, testing, upkeep, relocation, decommissioning, inspection, and modification of transformers with high-side voltages spanning from 4160V to 765kV.

Serve as the primary onsite liaison for clients and subcontractors throughout project execution.

Strategically delegate tasks to team members to optimize costs and project timelines, taking into account crew expertise, site conditions, weather forecasts, and other factors.

Proactively identify and communicate project discrepancies to Project Management and Engineering for prompt resolution. Conduct electrical assessments of transformers and reactors, including but not limited to bushing power factor & capacitance, core megger, CT ratio & polarity, TTR, winding resistance, insulation power factor, insulation resistance, excitation, SFRA, DFR, leakage reactance, and control cabinet functional checks.

Provide insights and expertise during the project-planning phase regarding project timelines and workforce requirements. Uphold and advocate for a safety-first culture; consistently adhere to all Hitachi Energy and client EHS standards.
