This role offers the chance to collaborate with top-tier development teams and leaders to introduce groundbreaking technology into AR products at **Meta**.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Oversee the integration of **Systems Software** (Operating Systems, Firmware, Drivers, Power Management) into our AR offerings, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and quality assurance.
  • Craft and maintain project timelines and schedules for software and firmware integration initiatives related to AR devices.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of technical systems to identify risks and issues, implementing necessary actions to mitigate them while staying engaged with the details to facilitate informed integration decisions.
  • Proactively identify and address risks, developing contingency plans as required.
  • Foster effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment among cross-functional teams (quality assurance, product management, and other stakeholders) with diverse priorities.
  • Track and report on project progress, escalating any issues or delays to management as needed.
  • Collaborate with fellow TPMs, engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to ensure that systems software integration strategies align with overall product development objectives.
  • Work alongside leadership to formulate and implement strategies aimed at enhancing processes throughout the organization.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in software integration and AR devices to uncover opportunities for process enhancement.
  • Act as a representative for **Meta** with external chipset providers to define system software requirements, align roadmaps, manage solution change requests, and drive the resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Serve as a communicator capable of translating high-level objectives into actionable plans, and vice versa, with expertise in engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders across various forums and formats.

**Minimum Qualifications**

  • Proven project management skills with experience overseeing cross-functional programs in a matrix organization across various domains.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, hardware engineering, software engineering, or technical product/program management.
  • Ability to operate independently across multiple teams, demonstrating critical thinking, thought leadership, and the capacity to guide teams through ambiguity to clarity.
  • In-depth knowledge of firmware development and integration processes for consumer electronics, including experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
  • Experience leading complex execution across multiple teams in different time zones, anticipating challenges and creating pathways forward.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large-scale systems.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience in implementing and managing development processes for highly constrained consumer device products.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Experience working with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Good grasp of application infrastructure, system architecture, operating systems, and power/thermal management.
  • Ability to evaluate and clearly communicate trade-offs for technical solutions in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in developing and deploying products utilizing the Android operating system (AOSP).
