About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant 2 to join our team at Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan. As a Medical Assistant 2, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our physicians and staff in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
  • Assist physicians and mid-level providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and handling patient correspondence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification or registration preferred.
  • 1+ year of medical assisting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic health records (EHRs).
