Dental Hygiene Specialist

Miles of Smiles is seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join their team of highly trained professionals. This is an opportunity to work in a 10-person team, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and technology.
The practice has 6 treatment rooms, digital charts and radiographs, CBCT, iTero, Zoom Whitening, and intraoral cameras.
Located approximately 40 miles from Boston and close to the Seacoast Region.
Key Responsibilities- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Conduct patient assessments to determine oral health conditions and identify any issues or concerns
- Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate
- Assist with dental procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials to the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist
- Proficiency in using dental software systems for medical documentation and record keeping
- Knowledge of dental office procedures and practices
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and explain treatment plans
- Attention to detail to accurately assess patient conditions and document findings
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
