Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics is on the lookout for an innovative and forward-thinking creative professional to join our Creative Services Department as a Graphic Designer. This role involves contributing to various aspects of Penn State's esteemed 31-sport varsity athletic program, with a focus on producing high-quality designs that enhance the visibility of both the brand and its student-athletes.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services and Brand Management, as well as the Creative Services team, to develop original and imaginative designs for a wide range of print, digital, and social media materials. This includes creating graphics for social media, recruiting materials, posters, game programs, signage, large-scale facility graphics, media guides, advertisements, tickets, brochures, maps, website and email graphics, logos, and various promotional items. The candidate will also support the design needs of related departments, such as Strategic Communications, Marketing, and Compliance.
The individual will be expected to manage a diverse workflow with multiple deadlines for both internal and external clients, organize and archive files and projects, fulfill various requests, assist in editing digital photography, and aid in planning photo shoots.
Qualifications and Experience:
This position reports to the Senior Graphic Designer and typically requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in supervising and managing a student intern program is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, and After Effects is preferred.
- Familiarity with additional Adobe Applications is a plus.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is:
$46,000 - $74,000.00
