Job Overview

MPF Federal LLC is in search of a seasoned Test & Evaluation (T&E) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) program office landscape. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of specialized testing techniques, including Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level insights on constructing Reliability Models and associated growth trajectories.
  • Guide the integration of T&E activities within program management frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain essential T&E documentation, including the Test & Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) and Test & Evaluation Strategy (TES).
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Instruction and relevant standards throughout all T&E activities.
  • Collaborate with acquisition managers and systems engineers to align testing with program objectives.
  • Lead the planning and execution of specialized tests, including HALT and reliability assessments, to identify potential system failures.
  • Extract reliability requirements for testing from various sources, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
  • Oversee the implementation of FRACAS to systematically address system failures.
  • Enhance testing procedures and methodologies to improve the reliability and maintainability of defense systems.
  • Analyze data for reliability metrics, projections, and confidence intervals.
  • Provide technical support in evaluating test data against established metrics.
  • Participate in curriculum development meetings, lending expertise as needed.
  • Serve as the lead SME in developing course materials and assessments.
  • Engage in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and SWARM, to foster flexible team-based development.
  • Document testing processes and results, providing detailed reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Full-Time position with core hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in T&E within a DoD program office or similar environment.
  • Proven experience in developing training materials for professional adults.
  • Extensive knowledge of HALT, HASS, FRACAS, and other reliability testing methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes and relevant standards.
  • DAWIA Level II or III certification in T&E or Systems Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a favorable background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly in reliability and process improvement.
  • Certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) are advantageous.
  • Previous experience with educational content development is a plus.
