About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker to join our dynamic team at Sunland Asphalt. This is a full-time position that requires occasional evening and weekend work as job duties demand.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various physical tasks, including general labor and using power tools and/or hand tools as defined by each job/project. They will work quickly, productively, and safely to meet production goals and follow direction from supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Our Construction Worker will be an advocate of safety, following safety policies and procedures, and enforcing safe work practices.
  • Collaboration: The successful candidate will actively participate in job-site and safety meetings and all Company-related training.
  • Communication: They will be a strong communicator, maintaining constant contact with Operators, truck drivers, and general laborers.
  • Maintenance: Our Construction Worker will inspect, clean, and maintain equipment and machinery, reporting any problems or malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Team Player: They will work with contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to complete jobs, serving as a front-line Company representative and providing excellent service to customers and the public.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • A current driver's license preferred
  • A clean motor-vehicle record if operating a Company vehicle

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
