Shift Details
Typical working hours are from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with mandatory shifts every other Saturday due to operational needs. Overtime may be required temporarily.

Position Overview
The Manufacturing Assembly Specialist is responsible for assembling components and preparing sub-assemblies for inclusion in custom procedure trays within the production area. This role involves following directives from supervisors and team leaders, utilizing approved Bills of Material to ensure compliance with established designs. Adherence to assembly guidelines as outlined in the training manual is essential. The specialist will ensure that raw materials meet established standards and handle materials appropriately to minimize scrap loss. This position requires direct interaction with colleagues, management, and department heads.

Key Responsibilities
Collaboration:
1. Foster relationships with co-workers to ensure products meet quality, design, efficiency, and customer satisfaction standards.
2. Collaborate with team members and leadership to achieve clinical acceptance and manufacturing quality benchmarks.
3. Employ effective communication skills to enhance manufacturing quality and production efficiency.
4. Partner with supervisors and material planners to assist in component selection and standardization based on product specifications.
5. Work alongside the Assembly Supervisor to create daily work schedules that align with production requirements.
6. Engage with Quality Assurance colleagues to identify defects and areas for improvement.

Technological Proficiency
1. Utilize relevant technologies to initiate production schedules, Bills of Material, assembly designs, and instructions.
2. Prepare tray labeling and identify component specifications and hazard codes using system technologies.
3. Ensure proper management of Device History Records (DHR) and related changes in manufacturing.

Operational Excellence
1. Maintain proactive communication with the Assembly Supervisor regarding production schedules, line setups, and changes in components due to customer requests.
2. Commit to optimizing production efficiency in alignment with customer expectations and production needs.
3. Provide timely updates to supervisors and production colleagues regarding the status of manufacturing, component defects, and discrepancies in item quantities.

General Duties
1. Verify correct component identification as per the Bill of Materials before line setup.
2. Count, fold, place, and package components according to assembly instructions.
3. Prepare and maintain a clean assembly area prior to production setup.
4. Actively participate in the setup and preparation of the assembly line.
5. Ensure the quality of materials used in production trays.
6. Confirm accurate quantities of components during the assembly process.
7. Wrap, label, seal, and package finished trays according to assembly guidelines.
8. Conduct line clearance procedures in accordance with established protocols.
9. Identify items requiring restocking or disposal.
10. Perform general housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned.

Experience: A minimum of three months of related assembly experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Skills: Ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic mathematical skills are required, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication with whole numbers. Reasoning skills to apply common sense in carrying out written and oral instructions are essential. Familiarity with diagrams is preferred. Ability to replicate processes or assembly operations is necessary.
