Position Overview: The Guest Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the Front Desk operations, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service throughout their stay. This position is essential in maximizing room revenue and occupancy while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address all guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Proactively resolve guest issues to ensure satisfaction and uphold hotel policies.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop Front Office staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct interviews and manage the hiring process for Front Office personnel.
  • Analyze daily occupancy and revenue reports to optimize room rates and availability.
  • Prepare staff schedules based on business needs and monitor payroll submissions.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee the Front Office systems, ensuring accurate reporting and software functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures, particularly regarding guest services.
  • Manage cash handling and credit policies at the Front Desk.
  • Train new staff members on service standards and operational procedures.
  • Monitor VIP guests and special requests to enhance their experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, ensuring accurate billing.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings to discuss departmental performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hotel or related field, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and provide exceptional customer service.
