Job Overview

The Project Coordination Specialist III will play a crucial role in assisting the Project Manager (PM) with various project-related tasks. This position entails following up on deliverables and collaborating closely with the PM to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the coordination of engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assists the PM in crafting the initial project timeline in collaboration with engineering and procurement teams.
  • Engages in value engineering and constructability assessments.
  • Collaborates with procurement to outline subcontractor and vendor scopes of work for PM review.
  • Works alongside Safety personnel to address all safety-related matters, including the development of project-specific safety plans and incident reporting.
  • Supports the PM in managing project schedules and preparing monthly project review reports for the management team.
  • Conducts financial reviews and project closeouts on a monthly basis.
  • Assists with Requests for Information (RFI) submissions using the document management system.
  • Provides constructive feedback to enhance the quality of all technical and administrative project deliverables.
  • Aids in the procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
  • Monitors the overall progress of design, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Facilitates project close-out and warranty administration processes.
  • Conducts post-construction cost evaluations and participates in lessons learned sessions.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the PM, including acting as PM in their absence when qualified.
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in construction project management, encompassing various aspects such as planning, estimating, and document control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in EPC/design build projects, particularly in the Power Delivery sector (substation, transmission & distribution).

Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the project design process.
  • Familiarity with integrated EPC processes and construction methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel as needed, approximately 25% to 50% of the time based on project demands.
