Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Bilingual RN, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and promote a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medication, performing tests and procedures, and documenting clinical findings.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
  • Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors, and near misses in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 1 year of directly related experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo, or Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer certification within 30 days.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year.
  • PALS certification within 6 months.
  • Conscience Certification within 1 year.
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

This role involves working with hazardous materials, requiring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
