Research Opportunity
Dr. Zhang's laboratory within the Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time Research Assistant Professor to join a dynamic team engaged in pioneering neuroscience and pain research. The lab employs advanced techniques such as in vivo/in vitro electrophysiology, calcium imaging, and molecular genetics to explore the neurological underpinnings of pain, alongside clinical research initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
1. Collaborate with the Principal Investigator in designing and executing research projects.
2. Conduct data collection and analysis to support grant applications and scholarly publications.
3. Contribute to the intellectual growth of the laboratory by participating in meetings, journal clubs, and seminars.
4. Mentor students and fellows in research methodologies.

Qualifications
The ideal applicant will possess:
- A Ph.D. in neuroscience, biology, or a related biomedical field.
- A minimum of three years of post-doctoral training experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Experience
Candidates with extensive knowledge in neuroscience, proficiency with rodent models, and a background in clinical research will be highly regarded. Skills in animal behavioral testing, surgical techniques, and experience in manuscript and grant writing are advantageous.
