Overview:

SUMMARY
Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is actively seeking a qualified Senior Oracle Solutions Engineer.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who will assist the Air Force Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) Program Office in managing a comprehensive suite of technology services and associated business processes that empower the Air Force to fulfill its mission objectives efficiently.


Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are designed to provide a descriptive overview of the range of tasks performed in this role and are not intended to encompass all duties associated with the position.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

  • Develop and integrate information systems tailored to meet organizational requirements.
  • Evaluate existing technologies utilized within the organization to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team to effectively track the progress of initiatives.
  • Assist the architectural team in managing solutions and overseeing financial expenditures related to application solutions.
  • Conduct analyses of security protection technologies as needed.
  • Review the current systems architecture and collaborate with technical staff to propose enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to development teams.
  • Continuously research emerging technologies and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders regarding any issues with the current technical solutions being implemented.
  • Evaluate the business implications of specific technical decisions.
  • Update stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
  • Assess the existing information systems architecture and collaborate with technical staff to suggest improvements.
  • Offer recommendations and strategic roadmaps for proposed solutions.
  • Execute design, debugging, and performance analysis on solutions.
  • Document and disseminate best practices for new solutions.
  • Advocate for process enhancements and assist in developing solutions.
  • Inform partners, customers, and other stakeholders about new features and benefits.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate proposed solutions.
  • Review and validate solution designs from team members.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary)

Twenty (20) years of design and development experience in relevant information systems.

Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science, or seven years of equivalent experience.

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Experience with MRO IT systems and technologies specific to MRO software, hardware, network, and cybersecurity design.

Experience in middle-tier configuration, redundancy, performance, and scalability of MRO programs.

Proficiency in software engineering and architectural design.

Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes.

Demonstrated experience in engineering and software architecture design.

Proven work experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar capacity.

Previous project management experience is advantageous.

In-depth knowledge of coding languages.

Solid understanding of various operating systems and databases.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.

Microsoft Office Suite:
Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.

Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Preferred:
Current DoD Public Trust clearance

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system.

The work described herein is primarily conducted in a modern office environment. Occasional travel may be necessary.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS


As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.

If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to access military installations.
