Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to join our R&D team at ACIST Medical Systems. As an Electrical Engineering Co-op, you will assist in the design, development, and testing of innovative medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of medical devices, including circuit design, prototyping, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the improvement of the design process.
Training and Development

As an Electrical Engineering Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work with various product development departments within ACIST Medical Systems. You will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment, such as the medical device industry. Training may cover relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, along with more specific aspects related to ACIST Medical Systems products.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree student with a sophomore or junior level class standing.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for sponsorship for an employment visa in the future.
  • Able to participate full-time (40 hours/week).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with electrical design tools, preferably Altium.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment (oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, programmable load).
  • Familiarity with software tools and programming languages.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently with team members from various disciplines, e.g., hardware, software, mechanical, quality, regulatory, etc.
  • Team player with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical writing skills, ability to develop reports for technology development.
