Job Title: Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team at Ameritas. As a key member of our client services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our policyholders, answering their questions, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support service delivery for multiple products, including life insurance and disability income, using multiple systems within established metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with policyholders, providers, plan participants, and field partners to answer general questions, process transactions, and resolve issues.
  • Follow departmental processes to process transactions, respond to inquiries, and provide information and solutions to customers.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of various insurance products features and limitations, industry/regulatory terms, and policy-related statements.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 0-2 years related experience required.
  • Efficient keyboarding skills and ability to work on multiple administrative systems required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks required.
  • Previous experience with life insurance or disability income is desired.
  • Must obtain a SIE license within first 4 months of employment.
  • Must obtain Series 99 or Series 6 within 8 months of employment.
  • Must demonstrate progress toward attainment of industry designations (FLMI, ACS) or completion.
