The Assistant Superintendent plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects at Clark Construction Group. This key position is responsible for coordinating field operations, supervising workforces, and implementing safety and quality control procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the installation of work in accordance with contract documents, project schedules, and planned sequences.
- Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents and the scope of work for assigned areas or trades.
- Apply knowledge of equipment capabilities and develop plans for optimal utilization.
- Supervise field workforces to ensure cost-effective work execution and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement safety programs, conduct regular inspections, and take remedial action when necessary.
- Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate and win new business opportunities.
- Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the Clark Construction Group team.
Basic Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline.
- 3 to 6+ years of construction management experience in a field supervisory role.
- Experience building mission-critical/data center projects successfully from start to finish.
- Good understanding of MEPF systems.
- Demonstrated ability to direct the work of others, including subcontractors and suppliers.
- Working knowledge of the construction process, including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
- Well-versed in safety and government regulations, with success in implementation on a job site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of construction management software platforms and tools, including Procore, PlanGrid, FieldWire, Bluebeam, and P6.
