Key Responsibilities- Support cross-functional design engineering teams in the integration of design for manufacturability (DFM) activities into the prototype stage of the hardware product development cycle.
- Assist in the transition path from prototype design to the manufacturing stage, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal services to achieve program goals, leveraging your expertise in vendor management and the DOD Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) process.
- Develop and implement plans to mature advanced prototype designs, focusing on manufacturability, assimilability, and reliability.
- Contribute to the development of technical reports and presentations, showcasing your expertise and communication skills.
- Proactively identify and address design and manufacturing concerns, ensuring the highest quality products.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Product Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to learn and understand product specifications, requirements, and production capabilities.
