Job Title: District Manager in Training

At Lids, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced District Manager in Training to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales growth by delivering exceptional customer service and implementing sales strategies.
  • Successfully complete the District Manager in Training (DMIT) program to enhance your core skills and knowledge.
  • Train store personnel on standard operating procedures, state and federal laws, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with store personnel to ensure understanding and compliance with company procedures.
  • Act as a liaison between the District Sales Manager and stores under your direction.
  • Take appropriate actions to ensure each store maximizes sales, minimizes asset loss, and meets budgetary requirements.
  • Travel extensively (up to 90%) to stores within a given geographic area.
  • Perform work of subordinates as needed.
  • Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
  • Ability to work varying days and hours based on business needs.
  • Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record.
Requirements:
  • One year of relevant experience or a two-year degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience.
  • Proven supervisory skills.
  • Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
  • Ability to operate a computer and maneuver relative software programs.
  • Possess a current valid driver's license, certificate of insurance coverage, and the ability to drive an automobile.
  • Driving required for up to 100% of the daily work schedule.
  • Standing required for up to 90% of the daily work schedule.
  • Relative computer hardware and software experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training and/or business meetings.
