Position Summary:
We are seeking to expand our team to accommodate the growing needs of our community. Our facility offers a wide range of services, including wellness and holistic treatments, surgical procedures, dental care, and more. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with weekends off.

Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Animal Care Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Restraint of pets and triage of incoming patients.
  • Collection and analysis of laboratory samples.
  • Diagnostic imaging and management of medical cases.
  • Administration of medications and effective communication of treatment plans to clients.
  • Preparation and assistance during surgical procedures, including anesthetic management.

It is essential to be prepared for potential exposure to unpleasant odors, noises, and animal-related hazards.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Proficiency in pet restraint and sample collection techniques.
  • Experience with blood draws, medical history documentation, laboratory testing, and anesthesia monitoring is advantageous.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire for continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Flexible availability to meet the needs of the practice.
