Seasonal Agricultural Laborer

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness seeking a Seasonal Gin Worker to join their team at their Frederick, OK location.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general labor duties efficiently and effectively, including but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of commodities handled at the location and adhere to company policies and government regulations.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, which may involve sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching/detaching flexible hoses.
- Load and unload agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks using heavy or light-duty machinery/equipment.
- Monitor and control all load-out functions.
- Operate automated scale/dump systems.
- Conduct and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks, including lubrication of pumps, valves, and loading arms, and inspect in-use equipment for seeps and leaks.
- Ensure the quality of inventory, including blended, bulk, or packaged products.
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, feed, and others to customer sites.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, performing regular housekeeping duties such as sweeping, shoveling, power washing, scraping, and cleaning up spills.
- Perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal.
- Operate a forklift, load/unload inventory, and perform general maintenance in the warehouse.
- Report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture, following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identifying and communicating workplace hazards.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned to ensure the facility operates smoothly and customers receive excellent customer service.
- Knowledge of operations and/or business operations.
- Meet the minimum age requirement.
- Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
- Agriculture experience preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package, including base wage and other earnings such as bonus, incentives, and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors, including experience, education, training, specialized skills, and certifications.
